Japanese Weaves
The Japanese weave is one of the oldest forms of chain maille dating back roughly 3000 years. The weave is worked by linking rings in flat box structures or hexagonal grid patterns. Jewelry woven in the Japanese style results in a very solid piece that often has a noticeable weight to it.
