Return Policy

Effective October 1, 2008

At Black Hound Jewelry we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days (of the date your order was shipped) for a full refund of the purchase price, minus the shipping & handling, unless you have received a damaged or incorrect item.


Our Return Process

Once we receive your returned item and it is accepted, your refund will be processed within 5-10 business days. Upon receiving your return, the item will be checked for damage and wear. Items showing signs of wear or those that have been altered (by a jeweler other than Black Hound Jewelry), or damaged in any way cannot be accepted for return although we would be happy to discuss with you the option of repairing your piece. Returns without the original Black Hound Jewelry receipt, and returns that are improperly packaged will be refused receipt.


When returning your piece, the best approach is to return it in the same container that it was shipped in along with any packing materials. The packing was done in a way to minimize the chances of your piece being damaged while it was in transit.


If any piece is damaged because of a flaw in the materials or workmanship, we invite you to return it for a full refund. Please remember that each piece of jewelry is hand assembled. The rings in the chain maille are not soldered or bound together in any way. This means that putting too much strain on a piece can deform or otherwise damage the rings of the piece. We do not consider damage of this sort to be due to "defects in the workmanship or materials" -- the rings are what they are.


We cannot accept custom jewelry for return.


All undamaged merchandise returned within 30 business days from the ship date on your invoice will be credited unless otherwise specified. Your credit card account will be credited upon processing of the returned item(s). You will receive an e-mail notification upon the completion of return processing.
